This source talked about the time period that Jackie came around, where all African-Americans were discriminated and they were treated as “lower people.” He became a huge role in the civil rights movement while he was in the beginning of his career and never looked back from there. He was always a great baseball player and showed people that everyone was created to be equal.

This website gave me a better understanding of how massive the impact of Jackie Robinson’s baseball career was. Without him, superstars by the names of Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, LeBron James, Moses Malone, Julius Erving, Bo Jackson, and Barry Sanders might not have played their sports respectively if Jackie Robinson hadn’t played baseball. He didn’t just change sport, but he changed the world.
